Altai – unknown, wild and captivating!
Day one: Flight Sofia – Moscow – Barnaul. Overnight.
Day two: Breakfast and rest until noon of the participants. After lunch at 2 o’clock, an auto-walking tour to the Kemal Glacier, during this trek we will pass along the “goat” path from Chemalski HPP, to Patmos island, where the monastery named after Joanna theologian (built in 1914, in it are located the relics of St. Macarius). Chemal HPP is one of the few still operating on the territory of Russia’s HPP, built in 1931. We walk to the place where the Rivers Zelmal and Katun merge. You will see the Kemal Reservoir, try water from the springs. We’ll cross the River Kemal. Dinner. The hiking is 3km.
Day three: After breakfast, descent along the Katun River, passing through the rapids Iradish, Simonski, visit the Kamishlin Waterfall, which will conquer you with its harmony. Lunches. Visiting the Tadin Caves, whose stone tunnels pass through the entire mountain. Dinner. Overnight.
Day four: After breakfast, transfer to Kachevnik base, passing through the famous Chuski tract, visiting excursion sites, Seminsky Pass, Chike, Thamman, archaeological complex Kurchiku. Visit the ancient sanctuary with numerous rock drawings – Kalbactash. On the way there is lunch in a folk-style café – Listen to ozi music. Dinner at 20.00, Russian bath, Overnight.
Day five:After breakfast, a transfer to the Majoi River Valley, on the way we will take a look at the Majoi Cascade on the Chuya River, with rapids with a Class 6. The river flows into a deep canyon that takes its breath. We climb the Majois Pass, where we can enjoy the peaks: Kabak kure, Kura ridge. We’re going back to Kachevnik Base. Lunches. After a short break, we go to the waterfalls of Chibitski and Bukracharach. Dinner. Night. Hiking for the day 6km.
Day six:: Breakfast. Visit the Tarhatin Magalhaes Complex. Along the way you can enjoy the majestic panorama of the ridges: Severo-Chuiski, Kuraski and Yuzhno-Chuiski and also the Kura step, against whose background stand the white-snow peaks akru, whose translation is “white staircase”. The Tarhantine Complex is a cult site in altai, a sanctuary for the Altai. There are many stone drawings, as well as unique facilities, as well as the armchair of the shamans. Lunch in the village of Kosh-agach, return to base, dinner. Overnight.
Day seven: Breakfast. Transfer to Chiushman River Along the way we are about to cross the famous red door opening road in Chibutsky Lake region. A visit to the holy site of Pazenrack, on which we are about to pass through the spectacular serpentines of the Katurjak River, leading to the bottom of the Chiushman Canyon, arrival at the place for an overnight stay. Dinner around the campfire and overnight.
Day eight: After breakfast , a visit to the Chiushmann Waterfall. Departure, on the way visit the stone mushrooms Archourum, which are a unique phenomenon of relief formed by the weathering of the rocks. Exploring archaeological monuments along the mouth of the Chaucha River and the Chiushmann Valley. In the evening, you will find a delicious dinner and a Russian bath. Night. Hiking for the day – 6 km.
Day nine: After breakfast, hiking in the surrounding area, sightseeing, recreation, fishing, visiting the hydrogen sulfide source and Achemal Waterfall. Night. Hiking for the day – 3 km.
Day ten: After breakfast, a climbing trip along Taurus Lake with a weaning to explore corbu waterfall. From the spacious observation deck reveals the magnificent appearance of the falling water flow from 12 meters high. Lunch at the waterfall. Return to the place of the night. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 11: Transfer to Barnaul, Barnaul flight – Moscow – Sofia.
