Diaporos is a small island, close to the second part of Chalkidiki peninsular – Sitonia, not far from the famous village of Vourvourou, famous for the purest waters, with a blue-green color of the sea. It offers views of the heights of Athos peak, the third part of Chalkidiki and the clearness of the waters. The small island of Agia Isidoros is also next to Diaporos. Since 2008 our club almost every weekend organizes kayaking tours of Diaporos Island and the surrounding area. Come with us to get acquainted with kayaking and beauties of the Aegean Sea.
Friday – leaving Sofia in the morning and arriving in Chalkidiki early in the afternoon, we settle in tents at the campsite. After equipment and instruction, we get on the kayaks and head to the deserted island of Diaporos for beach and diving. Overnight at the campsite.
Saturday – after breakfast we get on the kayaks and if the weather allows us, we will take a full tour of the island. About an hour of kayaking will take us to one of the beautiful sandy beaches of the island, where we will be able to swim or just enjoy the bright sun rays. After a break on the sunny beach, we again get on the kayaks near Diaporos and enjoy the sunset. Active kayaking that day is about 4 hours. Overnight camping.
Sunday – with the kayaks we travel in the region of Diaporos and Agia Isidoros. We’ll stop to enjoy the beautiful beaches. Kayaking on Sunday is again about 3-4 hours. Departure from Greece in the early afternoon.
The trip is suitable for those who want to combine a few hours of kayaking with the possibility of rest and relaxation on the sandy beaches. The water is crystal clear and diving is often practiced there. You can see octopuses, different types of fish and wonderful corals, you only need a snorkel and a mask.
